Yesterday I stopped in Athleta to return some things and try on some dresses since dresses, swim, and shorts are currently 20% off. I found two dresses that I love, and because I returned some items and had $70 in rewards from my Banana Republic card, I got both dresses for $58! But, I also returned some things at Lululemon, so I ended up not actually spending money yesterday for these dresses. Love when that happens!
The first dress I got was the Stripe Lively Dress, $98 at full price.
I hadn't really considered this dress when I saw it in the catalog, but it caught my eye in the store. It has a cute detail in the back and is super soft. It's very lightweight, stretchy, and comfortable. I'll be able to wear this dress to work and for casual wear this summer. This dress is also available in other colors and prints. I usually wear a small or medium at Athleta and got this dress in small.

I also got the Stripe Serenity Dress, a maxi dress with built-in support, $118 at full price.
The fabric in this dress is also soft, though not as soft as the Lively dress. The back really sold this dress, since I love open backs. The built-in bra is supportive, but I did find the straps a tad tight and uncomfortable. The dress was also very hard to get into and out of because of the built-in support. There is an inner lining, which smooths out lumps and bumps. I thought this dress was very sexy, and I can wear it to parties and to go out all summer long. But after I got home and took pictures in it, I think it makes my booty look huge! And while I love the back, the built-in support that makes the back possible may not be super comfortable after I've worn it for a while. Lululemon has their own Refresh Maxi Dress out now where you can wear your own bra with it, and I think I would prefer that. But, I don't like the black and white stripes in the Lulu maxi dress. So, I may keep the tags on this Athleta dress and see if Lulu releases another color in their maxi dress, which is actually $30 cheaper than this Athleta dress. I ordered a size small in this dress, and it's pretty roomy and not tight at all. I wouldn't size up in this dress, and if you're in between sizes, I'd size down.

When I showed my husband the dresses, he pointed out that I got two grey, striped dresses. I didn't even realize! What can I say? I love grey and love stripes.
Also, the shoes I'm wearing I recently bought when Target had a sale on shoes. They're cork, go with everything, and are the Aerosoles line so are very comfortable!
