Thanks to everyone for the thoughtful advice on my post yesterday about whether to do the Pittsburgh half or full marathon. I thought a lot about it and decided to do the full marathon in 2016 instead of next May. When I re-read my post, I realized I had so many doubts. When I decide to do a full, I want to feel like, "Yes! I'm ready!"
In 2015 I'll do more half marathons (including Pittsburgh) with varied courses. I think getting experience with a variety of different half marathon courses, plus the overall race experiences, will better build a foundation so I can feel more prepared for a full in 2016.
I registered for the Pittsburgh half yesterday, and am already excited! I think I made the best choice for myself.
